I’m a multidisciplinary artist, educator and curator working in Greater Manchester.

My artistic practice is led by site-specific responses and research; it spans photography, drawing, writing, risograph printing and publication making. Through my work I explore the amorphousness of a sense of place and how my personal experience intertwines with its layers of social, political and natural history. I am often inclined towards traces of human presence after people have left, whether recently or a long time ago.

Drawing on my experience in curating, I highlight relationships between these elements by arranging them into narratives. I look to simultaneously explore subjectivity, find the root for my initial response to a place - whether that’s earlier experiences and memories, a sensitivity to provesses or innate connection to nature - and hold space for harmonies and contradictions. By working towards publications, I am asking how the format can hold together the multi-disciplinary aspects of my practice along with the different imprints of knowledge.

I’ve curated exhibitions and public programmes in a variety of contexts and working with small to medium size budgets. I am currently part of the programme team at Braziers International Film Festival. Please see my CV for a full list of projects.

I am based at Rogue Artists’ Studios in Gorton.
